KPT的全名為Kai's Power Tools，屬於專業繪圖軟體的外掛濾鏡，由於它不
但支援MetaCreations的Painter，亦可支援Adobe Photoshop、Corel Photo
-Paint及友立 PhotoImpact等與PhotoShop外掛濾鏡相容的產品，因此，在
專業繪圖軟體上擁有相當的知名度。
KPT 7如以往般擁有直覺化圖形介面，新版本提供了許多新的濾鏡特效工具
及微調功能。KPT 7提供超過15種全新的濾鏡程式，如ShapeShifter、Frax
-Plorer、Blur及Orb-It等，以及所有KPT 6的濾鏡特效。在7.0版中的預計
特效包括了按鈕、底紋材質及遮罩等。新增的濾鏡程式中， ShapeShifter
可用來建立沒有任何限制的外型及物件，及可加入 3D光源與不同金屬表面
材質，創造新穎動人的網頁按鈕；FraxPlorer 為底紋設計工具，除了全新
的底紋圖案外，也有提供快速的及時預覽效果。Blur 是模糊殘影工，擁有
精準的 64bit顏色與新的128位元數學演算法，除了使執行速度更快外，也
加強顏色的準確性及微調功能；Orb-It 則支援在影像中加入許多不同大小
的球面特效，另外加入3D光源、泡泡特效、濾鏡及文字特效等。
※ KPT V7.0 新增功能：
(1) KPTR Goo：
Smear, smudge, twirl, pinch, or "finger-paint" an image to produce
stunning effects or short animations.
(2) KPTREqualizer：
An all-in-one interactive plug-in that corrects blurred images or
adds creative effects by manipulating image frequencies.
(3) KPTR Projector：
Add 2D perspective warp distortions or 3D transformations to any
image, or create infinite planar tiling at any angle.
(4) KPTR Gel：
Use realistic 3D paint tools to synthesize a wide spectrum of
photo-realistic materials. Apply environment mapping, accurate
lighting, reflection, refraction, tinting, and transparency.
(5) KPTR Materializer：
Create dynamic surface textures using bump maps, scaling (with
tiling), panning, rotating, blur, and accurate lighting. Or
"bend" a source image over the contours of a surface texture.
(6) KPTR LensFlare：
Create realistic glows, halos, and lens reflections on an image-
simulating the reflections of a bright light on a camera lens.
(7) KPTR Turbulence：
Create real-time 2D wave distortions and ripples with realistic
fluid motion. Output still images for print or produce short
animations.
(8) KPTR Reaction：
Create organic textures like a zebra's stripes or the growth
pattern of coral. The resulting image tiles seamlessly.
(9) KPTR SceneBuilder：
provides the tools to create realistic 3D scenes. Import and
render 3DS files, edit textures, and manipulate transparency,
reflection, refraction, and bump map properties.
(10) KPTR SkyEffects：
provides the tools to create stormy skies, breathtaking sunsets
, moonlit nights, and even rainbows. The professional ray
tracer is ideal for simulating Earth's atmosphere, or for
generating textures, backgrounds, and environment maps.
